Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Tilney, Investec, SANNE

Tilney

Investment management and financial planning group Tilney has continued with its UK recruitment drive with the appointment of Matthew Tribe. Tribe joins the team in Tilney’s Bristol office as a financial planner, the firm said in a statement.

Tribe joins from Santander where he was a financial planning manager. Prior to this, he held financial planning roles since 2011 at both Charles Derby and A-Plan Assurance.

In his new role, Tribe will deliver advice as part of the firm’s "two expert" approach which sees financial planners paired alongside the firm’s investment managers.

Investec Wealth & Investment

Investec Wealth & Investment has hired two new financial planning directors, Lee Burberry and Gary Taylor, who will join its Liverpool and Manchester offices, respectively. 

Both join the firm from Rathbones, where they provided to clients on all aspects of financial planning, Investec said. 

Each have more than 30 years' industry experience. 

Smith & Williamson

Investment manager Smith & Williamson has appointed Angus Abraham as business manager, as it looks to expand its funds business, the firm said in a statement.

Abraham joins Smith & Williamson from City Financial, where he was head of operations overseeing its UCITS division.
 
He will be based in London and will report directly to Ed Rosengarten, head of funds at Smith & Williamson.

In his new role, Abraham will support its investment and sales teams as they seek to develop and grow the business’s range of demand-led funds. He will also help the executive management team with the execution of its strategic development plan and will oversee relationships with external parties including platforms.

SANNE

Financial services provider SANNE has appointed Sam Metland as director of product development to enhance its technology and product development capabilities, the firm said in a statement.

Metland will be based in London. He has more than 10 years of industry experience, and has worked in New York, Luxembourg, Singapore and the Channel Islands.

In his new role, Metland will work closely with SANNE’s managing directors and heads of business to develop an integrated client services business strategy.
